Del City’s brake cable is designed for use in electric brake systems for vehicles, trucks, and trailers. Available in duplex, triplex, and quadraplex varieties, this automotive cable provides durable and reliable performance across a range of applications. The duplex brake cable features 2 conductors and comes in 18 to 10 gauge options, with spool sizes ranging from 100 feet to 3,000 feet. Triplex cable offers 3 conductors and is available in 16 to 12 gauge options, while quadraplex cable, with 4 conductors, is also available in 16 to 12 gauge sizes, both offered in 100 to 1,000-foot spools.
Each brake cable type is protected by a flat, jacketed gray PVC insulation that shields the inner conductors from weather and acid exposure, ensuring long-lasting durability. The inner conductors meet SAE standard J1128 and are color-coded for easy identification: duplex features black and white conductors, triplex includes black, white, and green, and quadraplex adds a red wire to the set.
