Cole Hersee Ignition Switches are engineered for universal applications, specifically designed to withstand harsh environments. The 956 Heavy Duty Series stands out as the most robust option, offering reliable circuit control for vehicle ignition. Constructed with heavy-duty plated steel housing, these switches provide durability and extended lifespan, making them ideal for construction equipment, agricultural machinery, material handling equipment, and commercial vehicles.

The ignition switch features three positions: Off, Ignition/Accessory, and Start. It supports 10A at 12V DC for the accessory and ignition/run positions and 5A at 12V DC for the start function. The actuator includes a short lever for ease of operation. Designed for secure installation, it fits into a 1.0-inch (25.4mm) panel hole using a face nut. The switch's five-screw termination ensures a reliable connection, while an O-ring on the shaft and sealed terminal insulator provide ingress protection against dust and moisture.

With an ignition-proof design that meets SAE J259 standards, the 956 Series also features a start lockout mechanism, requiring the switch to return to the Off position before the start circuit can be re-energized, enhancing safety and preventing accidental starts.
